HOW TO GET THERE
USEFUL TIPS
Here are a few things we can help you with before hand to make things easier for you.  
We've made a small list of the things you'll need to consider.
SPLIT
The nearest airport is Split Airport (SPU). From the airport, a taxi to the Marina Kaštela is a 10-15 minute journey and should cost around €25. ​
Uber has recently launched in Croatia, and are cost effective.
ALIMOS
The nearest airport is leftherios Venizelos International Airport (ATH). Alimos is a big marina, so make sure you have your arrival instructions to hand. Buy any alcohol before arriving at the marina, as there aren't any shops at the marina. Private transfers are available, you can, book here.
OLBIA
The nearest airport is Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport (OLB)Please make sure you arrive at Marina Olbia with plenty of time, all taxi drivers know where it is. Boarding time is 5 PM and the crew will be there to welcome you.
HOW TO PACK
Pack light. Get out your best swimmers, plan your outfits and think about what's hot this summer. Think: swimming, strolling, casual dinner and dancing. Keep it simple.
DUBROVNIK
Dubrovnik Airport (DBV) is the closest airport. From the airport, a taxi to the ACI marina is a 30-35 minute journey and should cost around €26-€30. ​
Uber has recently launched in Croatia, and are cost effective.
MYKONOS
There is only one marina in Mykonos, so it's easy to find. Join the boat at 5pm for your bag drop and check in. The crew will welcome you before heading out for dinner.

PHUKET
Phuket International Airport (HKT) is the closest airport. Please make sure you arrive at Phuket Yacht Haven Marina, (Phuket) with plenty of time. Boarding time is 5 PM and the crew will be there to welcome you.
ALCOHOL
You can buy alcohol at the marina. Alcohol is BYO and depending on your itinerary, there are either places to buy at the marina or in the first port.
LEFKAS
If you’re planning on taking the coach to Lefkas, the coach will be considerably cheaper at €36 instead of the cost of the flight (approx. €180 per person) and a €35 taxi from the airport to Lefkas. Private transfers are available, you can, book here.
CAPO d'ORLANDO
Catania–Fontanarossa Airport (CTA) is the closest airport. There are two ways to reach Capo d'Orlando Marina. The quickest option is a 2-hour taxi ride from the airport. Or, you can take a bus to Messina (1.5 hours) and then a train to Capo d'Orlando (1 hour), which is more economical but takes longer.
FLIGHTS
There are many airlines that service Croatia, including: easyJet, Wizz, Volotea, Croatia Airlines, Lufthansa. You can also try skyscanner, Expedia, Google Flights or Cheap Flights.
GRATUITIES
It is always good to appreciate the services of your crew, especially if they've done an excellent job all throughout the course of your trip.

WHAT TO PACK
TRAVEL INSURANCE
it might be worthwhile checking with your company to ensure you're covered for sailing activities or any last-minute emergencies,
ROCK SHOES
the rocks can be sharp and if you have some rock shoes, they may be a handy addition to your luggage (if you plan on a little exploring),
POWER ADAPTER
it’s always good to bring a power adapter for any electrical items, including USB cords and 12V connectors. The boat has 2 prong European power points, personal power banks are also a great idea to bring with you,
MUSIC
pack your favourite music on your iPod or MP3 player and remember to pack your aux cable,
FLIP FLOPS
any shoes with dark or marking soles and heels are not permitted on board. It would be wise to bring flip-flops or similar for the hot weather,
If you haven't got WhatsApp installed on your phone, download it as we create a group specific to your boat so that we can communicate with everyone and all guests and crew can share their best photos with everyone,
DRIVER'S PERMIT
if you plan on hiring a car or scooter while on holiday, it will pay to have an IDP (International Driver's Permit).
LUGGAGE
pack on the light side, just remember your swimmers, something for the evening at dinner and a warm jacket. Soft bags are preferred on the boat as they're easier to carry.
ACCOMODATION
if you're planning on staying longer in the stops, remember to book your accommodation also. You can try companies such as Air BnB, booking.com etc.
MONEY
bring cash for our first day, as the island may not have an ATM or accept cards,
PERSONAL
Remember your personal toiletries, including shampoo and to pack your swimmers
CAMERA
Underwater camera or GoPro for creating a video of your holiday,
TRAVEL DATES
if your schedule allows it, stay an extra day before and after your trip. Don’t fly in on Saturday and join the boat immediately, you will miss out on so much of the amazing Old Towns.
BEACH TOWELS
We will provide ben linen and a towel, however if you’d like a beach towel it may pay to bring your own, Linen - a towel and hand towel will be provided for the week,
MEDICATION
if you need medication, remember to bring it with you, including seasickness tablets if you get motion sickness. It’s better to be safe than seasick!
ALCOHOL
Bring your favourite drink for your first night, should you wish to have a wine on board,
INTERNET
Although we will have WIFI on the boat, if you want permanent internet on your phone/devices, you can buy a T Mobile SIM for €11 which gives you local calling, SMS and 7-days unlimited 4G data,
NATIONAL FLAG
some guests like to bring their national flag to hoist and fly to show the diverse nationalities that travel from afar to enjoy the sailing experience.
SPLIT
Please make sure you arrive at Marina Kaštela (pronounced "cash-teller"), (Split) with plenty of time, all taxi drivers know where it is, if not there is a map below with the address and a phone number to call.

Guest check-in and bag drop is 3 pm at the boat(s) and boarding time is 4 pm. The boats can be found in the service area, you will see the large rainbow 'Pride Sailing Holidays" flags.
​
When you arrive, have your driver take you to the service area of the marina, where you can drop off your luggage and meet you crew.

If you are unsure, you can go into Noa Yachting office and the staff will advise where you can find the Med Sailing Holiday’s boats. It's worth noting that the marina oversells annual contracts, so our boats are generally berthed in the service area, but from time to time we are placed on Pier C. We will advise you on Friday evening if we are being moved to Pier C.

Embarkation days can be quite busy, so it’s also wise to arrive a little early and relax. There is plenty of outdoor seating at the café, with sun protection.

If you missed your check in time, sadly the boat will not wait. Your captain or back office staff can give you the number of a water taxi or Uber boat (check your Uber app for the Uber boat service) to take you to the first port, or you can take the next ferry from Split to Supertar (Milna) then Uber/taxi to the port.

Cocktails on the boat are BYO and self-serve.
DUBROVNIK
Please make your way to ACI Marina in Dubrovnik,

Guest check-in and bag drop is 1 pm at the boat(s) and boarding time is 3 pm.
When you arrive, you will go to the charter office of DREAM YACHT CHARTERS (red circle in the map) and tell them you're sailing with Med Sailing Holidays. They will direct you to our pier and boats. You'll be looking for a sailing boat with a rainbow “Pride Sailing Holidays" flag.

If you require a transfer to the marina, Uber is now operating in Croatia and so far appear to be the cheapest transportation to the marina or The Old Town.
​
IMPORTANT – LATE ARRIVALS:
If you missed your check in time, sadly the boat will not wait. Your captain or back office staff can give you the number of a water taxi or Uber boat (check your Uber app for the Uber boat service) to take you to the first port, or you can take the next ferry from Dubrovnik to Sobra (Island of Mljet) then taxi to the port.
LEFKAS
Make your way to Lefkas Marina (all taxi drivers will know where it is)
Check in is at 5pm.  Although we like it if you can be at the marina by 4:30pm and meet us at Dream Yacht Charter base (see attached map for directions). Look for the crew wearing the “Med Sailing Holidays” polo shirt and we can direct you to your boat and crew.  It's very likely that we'll change the check in to an earlier time once the season has started and we've organised the cleaners, provisions, repairs etc.  We'll send you a confirmation email 2 weeks before your departure date to confirm.
If you have a few hours to spare before your check in time, you can leave your bags at the Dream Yacht Charter office and come back at 17:00. You can also go to the Ianos Hotel in the marina and relax by the pool.
Embarkation days can be quite busy, so it’s also wise to have had lunch before you arrive as we’ll be going straight to our port for dinner.  We don’t want you getting hungry! 
 
BOARDING TIME:  Your boarding time will be different to your check in time. Assume that you will be boarding at 17:00 and leaving the marina (weather permitting) shortly afterwards.

If you didn’t pick up any refreshments for the boat, now is a good time to find the supermarket in the marina and buy your beer, wine and any soda drinks you may want through the week.
​
GETTING TO LEFKAS:
You can either fly, bus or arrange a private transfer from Athens to Lefkas.  If you’re planning flight, you’ll be flying into Preveza (airport code: PVK), which is situated just 20 kilometers north of Lefkas town.
If you’re planning on taking the coach to Lefkas, the coach will be considerably cheaper at €36 instead of the cost of the flight (approx. €180 per person) and a €50 taxi from the airport to Lefkas.
You can either take a taxi, Uber or the 93 bus from Athens airport which will take you directly to the bus terminal.

The cost is around €60 and the journey takes about 20 minutes. You will need to taxi to the pick up spot.
ATHENS
In order to reach Alimos marina, you have 2 choices. These are:
Taxi: Definitely the quickest and easiest way to reach Alimos marina. Just outside the airport’s main hall, there are plenty of taxis waiting. Depending on the traffic, it is approx. a 45-minute drive and it will cost about Euro 40–45 (luggage included). 1. The public bus which will take you directly outside the marina (the bus stop is called EDEM).
The metro (subway) that will take you to Syntagma Sqr. (Athens centre). From there, you can get the Tram Line to Alimos marina (EDEM stop). The metro runs every 30 minutes from 05.30 to 00.20 on a daily basis. The ticket costs Euro 8 (with further discounts for more people) which also covers the change to the Tram line. So no need to purchase a new ticket. For more information on timetables, you may visit here.

If you missed your check in time, go to Piraeus ferry port and take a ferry to Agistri.
The cost is around €11-€15 and the journey takes about 1 hour.
MYKONOS
Please make your way to Marina Mykonos.

The address is Mykonos Marina GR-846 00 Periohi Tourlos, Mykonos-GREECE.
Check in is at 5pm. We do ask that you be on time, so we can make your cabin allocations.
​
When you arrive, you'll be looking for a sailing boat with a large rainbow “Pride Sailing Holidays" flag, as the marina is very 'rustic'. If you get lost, please check with the Harbour Master office.
​

SICILY
Please make sure you arrive at Capo d'Orlando Marina with plenty of time, all taxi drivers know where it is.
There are two ways to reach Capo d'Orlando Marina. The quickest option is a 2-hour taxi ride from Catania Airport. Alternatively, you can take a bus to Messina (1.5 hours) and then a train to Capo d'Orlando (1 hour), which is more economical but takes longer.

The nearest airport to Yacht Haven Marina in Phuket, Thailand, is Phuket International Airport (HKT). It's located approximately 20 kilometers northwest of Yacht Haven Marina, and the journey typically takes around 30-40 minutes by car, depending on traffic conditions.
